Solar panel: It is the core component of the system that converts solar energy into electrical energy. Usually composed of multiple solar panels, a 40kW system may require the use of over 100 solar panels with a power range of 300-400W, depending on the conversion efficiency and power of the solar panels.

Solar controller: controls the working status of the entire system, provides overcharge protection and over discharge protection for the battery, and should also have temperature compensation function in areas with large temperature differences. Its function is to store the electrical energy generated by solar panels when there is light, and release it when needed.

Battery pack: used to store the electrical energy generated by solar panels, in order to supply power to loads during low light conditions such as night or cloudy days. It is necessary to choose the appropriate battery capacity and quantity based on the system's load requirements and power consumption time.

Inverter: Convert the direct current generated by solar panels into alternating current to meet the needs of different users such as households, businesses, or industries for alternating current. For a 40kW system, it is necessary to choose an inverter with power matching and high conversion efficiency.

Communication distribution cabinet: Switch the backup inverter to ensure the normal power supply of the system, and measure the electrical energy of the line. In the grid connected system, it is also responsible for connecting and matching the AC power output by the inverter with the grid.

    Power generation: 40kW is the rated power generation of the system, which is the maximum power that the system can output under standard lighting conditions (usually 1000W/㎡ light intensity, 25 ℃ battery temperature, etc.). The actual power generation will be affected by factors such as light intensity, temperature, and weather conditions.

    Conversion efficiency: including the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar panels and the conversion efficiency of inverters. The conversion efficiency of solar panels is generally around 20% -25%, while the conversion efficiency of inverters is usually around 95% -98%.

    Energy storage capacity: depends on the configuration of the battery pack, generally measured in ampere hours (Ah) or kilowatt hours (kWh). The larger the energy storage capacity, the longer the system can sustain power supply in the absence of light.
