Structure and Principle
Structure: It mainly consists of a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, an electrolyte, a separator, and a battery casing. The active material on the positive electrode plate is lead dioxide (PbO ₂), the active material on the negative electrode plate is sponge like lead (Pb), and the electrolyte is sulfuric acid (H ₂ SO ₄) aqueous solution.
Working principle: During charging, electrical energy is converted into chemical energy, converting lead sulfate into lead dioxide and lead, while the concentration of sulfuric acid in the electrolyte increases. During discharge, chemical energy is converted into electrical energy. Lead dioxide on the positive electrode plate and lead on the negative electrode plate react with sulfuric acid in the electrolyte to produce lead sulfate and water, resulting in a decrease in sulfuric acid concentration.
Performance characteristics
Voltage stability: It can maintain a relatively stable output voltage within a certain discharge range, and a nominal voltage of 12V can provide a relatively stable power supply for most devices.
Large capacity: A capacity of 200Ah represents the amount of charge that the battery can output under certain conditions. When discharged with a current of 10A, it can last for about 20 hours and meet the short-term power supply needs of some devices or systems with high electricity demand.
Good low-temperature performance: In low-temperature environments, lead-acid batteries can still maintain a certain discharge performance. Although their performance may decrease, compared to some other types of batteries such as lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries have relatively better low-temperature adaptability.
High security: With mature technology and long-term development and application, its security has been well verified. Under normal usage conditions, serious safety accidents such as fire and explosion are not likely to occur.
